Establish a sender name Before you jump into creating an automation, there's a basic account setup you'll want to square up to. First, add a sender name. Once you submit a sender, you will receive another verification email sent to that address to verify that you are the owner. 4. Create a List Creating a list via the contacts link in your left navigation is an easy step to specifying a place to add your users when they fill out your form.

To obtain this configuration, click on "create" at the top right, then on "new list".Creating an opt-out group is a necessary aspect of acquiring new users. When building a list that you plan to market to, you need to allow them to opt out. As you build your email program and start having different types of marketing emails, you can also use SendGrid's unsubscribe groups to allow users to unsubscribe from specific email types. 6. Create a template There are several options for setting up an email template in your account. In the templates section in the left navigation, you can click on "create a custom template" (to create one from scratch, either using our HTML code editor or our design editor by easy-to-use drag and drop). If you don't want to create one from scratch, you can choose from several pre-made templates that just need your images and copy swapped out. Choosing to create a custom template with the design editor, I dragged my content elements (image blocks and text boxes) onto my template and arranged them as needed. (Some trial and error/adjustment is always important when creating a new model). To learn more about email design best practices, read the Expert's Guide to Email Design. Tip
