Hello! We are Nuestra Verdad, NUVE! We are five freshmen here at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign who noticed the absence of a minority publication on campus. As Latinx students, we realized that having a website and magazine directly focused on promoting Latinx and Hispanic culture and news would be beneficial to our college experience in a PWI. Our publication is called Nuestra Verdad because everything we plan to publish will be the truth of the Latinx experience through our eyes. We plan on publishing articles, student artwork, and Latinx news on this website, and we would like to publish a hard copy magazine at least twice per semester. Thank you for your support!
Hola, nosotros somos Nuestra Verdad, o NUVE! Somos cinco estudiantes del primer año, en la Universidad de Illinois en Urbana-Champaign. Nos dimos cuenta que había ausencia de publicaciones relacionadas con grupos que son la minoría. Como estudiantes Latinx, nos dimos cuenta que sería un beneficio crear una pagina y revista enfocada en promocionar cultura Hispana y Latinx. Nuestra publicación se llama Nuestra Verdad porque planeamos en publicar las experiencias como Latinx a través de nuestros ojos. Nosotros planeamos en publicar obras de arte hechas por estudiantes, y noticias relacionadas a la comunidad Latinx. Tambien nos gustaria publicar una revista en forma física dos veces por semestre.
